As a graduate student at NYU’s Silver School of Social Work, she is part of Downtown Behavioral Wellness’s Clinical Resident program and brings a thoughtful, compassionate presence to every session. Gylian works with young professionals and people navigating times of transition to make those changes feel more manageable without the overwhelm. Whether supporting those with anxiety, depression, academic stress, identity exploration, or family and peer challenges, Gylian’s therapeutic approach is rooted in patience, respect, and genuine care. She also supports those with behavioral challenges, including ADHD and ODD, helping them build coping strategies and a stronger sense of agency.
Beyond her client work, Gylian contributed to suicide prevention research at the New York State Psychiatric Institute under the mentorship of Dr. Kelly Posner Gerstenhaber. This experience expanded her expertise in crisis intervention and deepened her knowledge of evidence-based practices in suicide risk assessment and prevention.

She draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness techniques to create a flexible and integrative approach tailored to each client’s unique needs.
