Kyra’s extensive experience working in intensive outpatient rehabilitation for anxiety, depression and disordered eating has provided her with a deep understanding of the complexities and nuances of mental health. Her work with U.S. military veterans allows her to incorporate trauma-informed care into her therapeutic style, which blends empathetic understanding with trust and security.
By offering an integrative and compassionate approach to therapy, Kyra believes that her authentic, nurturing client-therapist relationship dynamic has the power to help clients grow. Kyra strives to create a judgment-free space where clients can fully explore their past, present, and future. She also utilizes modalities like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), client-centered therapy, somatic experiencing therapy, and mindfulness to curate personalized treatment for each client, no matter where they are in their therapeutic journey.
Kyra holds a dual master’s degree in public health and social work from New York University. Aided by her training in public health, Kyra views each client holistically, helping them understand the intersection between their physical and emotional health as well as deepen their mind-body connection. Kyra specializes in depression, anxiety, disordered eating, PTSD, couples counseling, and LGBTQIA+ care. By drawing on her diverse background, Kyra helps her clients achieve meaningful and lasting change one session at a time.
